President of Ho Chi Minh City: ‘Will reassess the epidemic level in the area’

The information was said by Chairman of the City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai on the sidelines of the expanded City Party Committee Conference taking place on the morning of October 14, when mentioning epidemic prevention work in the area in the coming time.

According to Mr. Mai, after the Government issues Resolution 128 Temporary Regulations for safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of Covid-19 and the Ministry of Health issues guiding documents, the city will re-evaluate the level.

In the coming time, the city will classify each commune and ward to which epidemic level it belongs to to apply appropriate recommendations.

`The city will evaluate each locality, determine the activities to be carried out and consider them in the context of the entire city,` Mr. Mai said, saying that determining epidemic prevention and control measures for each locality must be done.

The head of the Ho Chi Minh City government added that the Government’s temporary regulations aim to evaluate the Covid-19 situation daily and weekly, thereby providing appropriate epidemic prevention measures and levels.

Assessing the recent epidemic prevention work, the Chairman of the City People’s Committee said that compared to previous months, the epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City has improved much.

The leader of the City People’s Committee also said that recently, many expert opinions on the Covid-19 situation were published, but only a short time later, the epidemic’s developments were unexpected.
