5 people had side effects after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine
According to information from the National Expanded Immunization Program (TCMR), by the end of the afternoon of March 9, 522 people had been vaccinated, including medical staff and staff directly treating Covid-19 patients.
Specifically, the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital facility 2 has vaccinated 107 people, and the Ho Chi Minh City Tropical Diseases Hospital has vaccinated 104 people.
Two new facilities deployed on March 9 are Thanh Nhan Hospital, Hanoi City, inoculating 36 people, and Gia Lai Provincial Field Hospital inoculating 69 people.
According to rapid reports from vaccination sites, the Expanded Immunization Project has recorded a number of cases of reactions following Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccination, most of which are common post-vaccination reactions that have been recommended such as pain.
There are 5 cases being monitored and treated at the hospital, including 2 cases of level 2 anaphylaxis that have been treated, health has returned to normal, 3 cases of diarrhea, allergies, and blood pressure congestion.

The Expanded Vaccination Program assessed that the actual vaccination implementation in the past two days was safe, and cases of post-vaccination reactions were within the allowable rate.
According to regulations of the Ministry of Health, vaccination sites must meet strict standards for storing and preserving vaccines, arranging functional areas (reception area, waiting area, screening clinic).
All vaccinated people are screened and informed about how to monitor their health and post-vaccination reactions. When they detect unusual symptoms, they must contact a medical facility for treatment.
The Ministry of Health said that Vietnam is about to have more than 5.6 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
Vietnam currently has 117,500 doses of Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccine to serve the National Expanded Immunization Program.
