On the morning of April 21, on the third Vietnam Book Day, the Publishing Association organized the 2015 Vietnam Book Award at the National Library, Hanoi.

The organizing committee said they received 517 books for the 2015 Vietnam Book Awards, including 242 books for the `Good Book` award and 275 books for the `Beautiful Book` award.

The works won the 2015 `Good Books` gold award.

The `Good Books` gold prize was awarded to four works, including two rich and elaborate historical books.

According to the editor-in-chief of Vietnam History, the book looks back at figures like Mac Dang Dung, Mac Dang Doanh, Phan Thanh Gian, Nguyen Van Vinh… with a comprehensive, non-prejudiced view.

The Ministry of History of Vietnamese Military Thought was also awarded the `Good Book` gold award.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Duc Cuong, the fact that many historical books have been awarded shows that in recent years, historical researchers throughout the country have created intangible works that are very up-to-date and practical.

The 2015 `Good Book` Gold Award was also awarded to the complete work of Pham Phu Thu by many authors, edited by Pham Ngo Minh.

The fourth book to win the 2015 `Good Book` gold award is the new Fairy Tale series of six books by author Nguyen Huong.

The `Good Books` category also awarded 14 silver awards, 16 bronze awards, and 14 consolation prizes.
