Not counting Peugeot’s low sales, Kia is the car company with the highest growth rate in the Vietnamese auto market, 54%, in the first 8 months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. Kia sold 25,411 cars after 8 months, currently ranked number one.

In Vietnam, most Japanese and American manufacturers sell car models through import and assembly, while two Korean car manufacturers, Kia and Hyundai, purely assemble.
