5 steps F0, F1 self-monitoring at home

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), most mild Covid-19 cases can be self-monitored and cared for at home, with the support of medical staff.

Follow up with Covid-19 symptoms

When F1 self-monitors Covid-19 at home, it is necessary to pay attention to the symptoms of the disease.

For Covid-19 patients (F0), severe symptoms of the disease are difficulty breathing, inability to get out of bed or take care of themselves, chest tightness or dizziness, vertigo, and lethargy.

Take care of yourself

Patients need to rest in a private, well-ventilated room (if possible), or at least keep a distance of 1 meter from others.

If you take paracetamol when you have fever, muscle pain or headache, you should contact your healthcare provider for advice on dosage and how to use the medicine correctly.

Protect the people you live with

Keep your distance from people.

All family members need to wear masks.

Waste should be placed in separate trash cans, sealed and treated separately.

Measure oxygen levels in the blood

If you are asked to monitor blood oxygen levels, make sure you know how to use the device properly.

Blood oxygen levels should be measured 3 times a day or as advised by medical staff.

The screen of a handheld device shows a blood oxygen concentration of 98%.

Pre-treat blood oxygen concentration indicators

Regardless of the oxygen level, if you feel short of breath, cannot get out of bed or take care of yourself, feel chest pain or are lethargic, or dizzy, you should contact your healthcare provider.

When the blood oxygen concentration (SpO2) is high from 94% or higher: The patient needs to continue checking the blood oxygen concentration to see if it is the same as the previous result.

When blood oxygen levels are higher than 90% but lower than 94%: Contact medical staff for assistance or hospitalization.

When blood oxygen levels are lower than 90%, this is a sign of severe Covid-19 disease: Contact medical staff for assistance or quickly go to the emergency hospital.
