Czech Republic contestant crowned Miss World

Miss World President Julia Morley announced Krystyna Pyszková as the winner.

She is 1.8 meters tall and is said to have a doll-like beauty like her predecessor – Miss Karolina Bielawska.

In the final, the beauty shined through the performances thanks to her outstanding height and angelic face.

Krystyna Pyszková is the second Czech beauty to win the Miss World crown, after Miss Taťána Kuchařová in 2006.

This year, the organizers chose only one runner-up – beauty Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon.

Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong of Vietnam is one of 13 beauties who were specially placed in the Top 40 when they won the Multimedia sub-competition.

Many other strong contestants from the Asian region such as the Philippines and Thailand were absent from the Top 40. The host Miss India regretted stopping in the Top 8.

The final took place for nearly four hours. The format had many innovations but was cumbersome and lacking highlights.

Meanwhile, the opening dance of the world – which is one of the unique features of each Miss World season – was cut.

Contestants dance footstep to Indian music

The beauties danced footstep together to the vibrant melody.

In its 71st year, the contest gathered 112 contestants from many countries and territories.

Miss World is one of the two most prestigious beauty contests in the world, besides Miss Universe, first held in England in 1951. In its 73-year history, a number of famous beauties have come out of the contest such as Aishwarya Rai.
